Brick Fiesta

What: Providing “family focused fun since 2011,” the nonprofit fest employs LEGO as a platform to emphasize the importance of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Why: the convention attendees show the public what they have been building, demonstrate various STEM focused concepts, coordinate LEGO® STEM activities (robotics, great ball contraptions, speed builds), and answer fan based LEGO® questions.

Zoorassic Park

What: In Summer 2018 San Antonio Zoo transforms into Zoorassic Park. More than a dozen prehistoric creatures will fill the zoo, challenging guests to rethink extinct.

Why: Come face-to-face with life-sized dinos for an engaging and memorable experience for the entire family. Stare into the eyes of a full-grown Tyrannosaurus rex and learn how dinosaurs teach us about today’s wildlife and the threats they face. This event will be included with standard admission and FREE for members!

Cocktail Scavenger Hunt: Death by Chocolate

What: Join the Botanical Garden’s fun, self-guided photo hunt where we give you a list of ingredients growing in the garden and you find, capture, and present the images to their bartender, who will make your choice of cocktail.

CineFestival: July 6th

What: The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is excited to announce the official film lineup for the nonprofit’s 40th Annual CineFestival sponsored by the San Antonio Film Commission.

Why: This CineFestival event will screen animated feature ‘Coco’ in Spanish, high school student’s short films and other feature films. The event will feature ‘Love Cecy,’ which depicts the life of Cecillia Rios who was murdered in 1994.

SSA- S.A. Campus Summer Dance Series

What: The San Antonio Somebodae School of the Arts is having their tuition free “Summer Dance Series” starting July 3, 2018 thru July 28, 2018.

Why: This program is open to the general public with no scholarship or audition required. The program will offer dance classes in Ballet, Modern Dance, Jazz Dance and Hip-Hop Dance with some of S.A.’s most amazing Dance Educators, Choreographers and Dance Artist.
