Frost Summer Sweet Treats

What: Frost invites families to come to participating San Antonio-area financial centers for a cold and sweet summer treat.

Why: Take a break from the heat and grab a sweet treat at our WW White Financial Center. We’ll be serving free ice cream from Cori Jean Ice Cream Cart, compliments of Frost, to everyone who stops by.

Viola’s Huge Heart Festival

What: Families are invited to come out and celebrate Viola’s Birthday at Viola’s Ventanas, a sanctuary for forging memories, creating friendships, and strengthening family.

Why: The celebration will feature a a chicken fajitas buffet, a playground, and an opportunity to meet animals from the San Antonio Zoo. The event will also have a silent auction benefiting Viola’s Huge Heart Foundation and live music on the patio.

Zoorassic Park

What: In Summer 2018 San Antonio Zoo transforms into Zoorassic Park. More than a dozen prehistoric creatures will fill the zoo, challenging guests to rethink extinct.

Why: Come face-to-face with life-sized dinos for an engaging and memorable experience for the entire family. Stare into the eyes of a full-grown Tyrannosaurus rex and learn how dinosaurs teach us about today’s wildlife and the threats they face. This event will be included with standard admission and FREE for members!

Sportsman Channel Outdoor Fest

What: The 2018 Sportsman Channel Outdoor Fest is a place where America’s outdoor enthusiasts and their families can pursue their passion in a relaxed, educational and entertaining environment.

Why: Every day will be filled with exciting entertainment, incredible products, outdoor industry experts and plenty of family fun. It’s the perfect gathering place for hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting enthusiasts – and America’s top outdoor retailers, manufacturers, outfitters and organizations.

Cocktail Scavenger Hunt: Summertime Blues

What: The San Antonio Botanical Garden is hosting a self-guided photo hunt.

Why: This fun event consists of the guests, who are given a list of ingredients growing in the garden, capturing and presenting the images of the ingredients to their bartender, who will make their choice of cocktail. The event will be lead by instructor Dave Terrazas.

Gardens & Yoga

What: This class invites all levels, ages and sizes to enjoy a meditation in motion in the beauty of the Botanical Garden.

Why: Please join the AC Power Yoga team for a fun, active but relaxing yoga practice on the third Saturday of the month. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat.

Jump Into Fitness

What: The Southside’s Lions Park Community Center invites guests to this free family fun event that includes zumba, an obstacle course, and more.

The Wizard of Oz

What: Rick Sanchez directs the Woodlawn’s production of Frank Gabrielson’s iconic musical (based on the novel by L. Frank Baum) following Dorothy Gale and her beloved dog Toto.

Why: There truly is no place like home as the greatest family musical of all time, the wonderful WIZARD OF OZ, twists its way into the Woodlawn!
