Discover Nature at Elmendorf Lake and Park

What: Join the San Antonio Parks and Recreation Department for this family-friendly festival that celebrates nature through hands-on fun for all ages.

Why: Enjoy a special presentation on dinosaurs of Texas by Dinosaur George, make nature inspired art, learn about honey bees, and stop by the pollination station. Tree adoptions are available while supplies last. Visit the website for more information

SAMSAT Family Fun Saturday

What: Every Saturday, the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology will be open to the public for family friendly fun. SAMSAT’s new home will be at 102 Mabry Dr. in the heart of the Port San Antonio campus

Why: Guests will see an array of exhibits depicting the world’s earliest innovations in computing, telecommunications, and electrical power.

SoFlo Market 5 year Anniversary and Fiesta Medal Event!

What: Come celebrate the SoFlo Market’s 5th year anniversary with a street Fiesta, mariachis, special performances and cake.

Why: Come see what everyone is raving about! Amazing artists and makers offering their unique handmade creations, local homegrown products, and special vintage finds! Come taste the savory gourmet food from local food trucks, live music and DJ, all with a very urban feel! HEB Family Saturday

What: Join HEB and various local artist for a fun filled day which includes art making, creative activities, and information about contemporary art. This is event is focused towards kids so they can have a better understanding and appreciation of artist and contemporary art.

Poteet Strawberry Festival

What: Now in its 71st year, the Poteet Strawberry Festival, for our money one of the most unique and fun events in Texas, might just prove the perfect warm-up for Fiesta.

Why: At the massive fair, which packs in good times for people of all ages, the focus is definitely on the delectable titular berry, but the variations on that theme are many and impressive. Suffice it to say that you can get your hands on just about anything with strawberries you’d ever want.

Selena Night

What: Here at Groove House we are HUGE Selena fans! So in honor of her birthday, they are throwing a celebration on April 13th starting at 9pm 

Why: Groove House celebrates Selena’s birthday a few days early with all-day screenings of the 1997 biopic starring Jennifer Lopez, Selena classics in the mix and a Selena lookalike contest with a $250 prize.
